v1.01, 12/7/22
Optional mid-rack reinforcement for RCLT HD. The 200-series Land Cruiser rack used to create a MarRack (patent no. 11066099) features a unique center mounting provision. This kit ties that provision into the sub-frame with a 5/16 in (7.94 mm) plate, creating a third load path between rack and frame.
By engaging the rack’s center bosses, this mount stabilizes torsional twist and side-to-side shove that normally act only on the main mounts. It complements our oversized M14 hardware and double-shear caps by giving the system a braced center spine.
Designed specifically for MarRack installs; not compatible with factory steering racks.
Why add it
- Controls horizontal forces that try to shift the rack sideways under hard impacts.
- Shares torsional loads so twisting is not carried only by the main bolts.
- Spreads stresses across the frame, increasing mount durability over time.
Recommended use
- Entirely optional. Install it if you want maximum rack-to-frame rigidity and redundancy. Many RCLT HD builds run it for peace of mind.
- Straightforward installation during or after RCLT HD installation.
Field-tested since April 2022 on multiple Moab trails, the Dusy/Ershim, and Rubicon with RCLT HD + 40 in tires.

Note for Tacoma owners: Requires cutting off your center jack-point bracket as shown on Page 2 of the instructions.
For the ultimate steering rack connection, combine this kit with our Double-Shear Mount Upgrade. Together they create three reinforced load paths — vertical, horizontal, and torsional — giving the MarRack a rack-to-frame connection unlike anything Toyota or Lexus ever offered from the factory.
