Genuine Uniball Spherical Bearing made in the USA by FK Rod Ends, SKU WSSX16T.

This is the stainless steel and PTFE Teflon-lined version that we pre-install into every RCLT HD lower control arm and knuckle. Unlike generic bearings, we only source FK’s preferred F2 fit, their tightest tolerance option. The F2 fit uses a thicker PTFE liner and/or precision machining for a snugger interface, which means it will feel stiffer at first and take longer to break in, but in return it delivers greater longevity and more miles of service before any noticeable play develops.

Bearing Lifespan & Service Intervals
Unsealed spherical bearings like this typically delivers dependable performance anywhere from 15,000 to 45,000+ miles, depending on environmental and usage conditions. If you drive in harsh, salt-laden winters—where de-icing chemicals accelerate corrosion, a one-year service life is realistic. However, in dry environments, you can easily enjoy multiple years of performance. To illustrate, BigMike’s Tacoma, running on 40s in sunny California, has been using these same high quality USA-made FK stainless F2-fit uniballs with his current +3.5″ RCLT HD setup for over 4 years and they still show no signs of wear. Check yours annually for any slop or play, and swap them when performance begins to degrade.

As an added benefit of RCLT HD, unlike most UCA & LCA designs that re-use the factory vertical ball joint orientation trapping water and corroding fast, our double-shear horizontal ball joint layout drains water off each ball joint naturally, letting the bearings live longer.
