This is our NEW Super Low Profile Magnetic Drain Plug with an extended magnet for extra service life of your drivetrain components!

This plug uses a smooth & round diameter flange with a recessed M10 Allen socket instead of the factory M17 or M24 (15/16″) plugs with raised hex pattern that have sharp edges that commonly get caught on rocks and other objects passing under your vehicle, eliminating the risk of drain plugs backing off, leaking, or falling off entirely!

This can be used as either a drain or fill plug, however, it is absolutely critical you confirm on your own that the extended length magnet does not interfere with any internal component as we cannot be held responsible if the magnet breaks off and causes internal damage to your drive train. This is a high quality Japanese-made plug with the magnet pressure swedged & crimped into place and will never fall out on it’s own. So just make sure that it does not physically contact anything inside your t/case, transmission, differential, or axle housing by the following:

Simple steps to check for interference/compatibility:

1. This plug is 15.5mm (~5/8″) longer than our Regular Low Profile Drain/Fill Plug, so the overall insertion length of threads + magnet is: 31.5mm (~1.24″)
2. Take a 1/2″ socket extension and mark 1.25″ from the end
3. Gently insert the extension into your drain or fill hole
4. If the full 1.25″ is able to be inserted without interference, you’re golden! (Be sure to also verify all gears shift properly if hole is near shift linkages)

Includes 1 x Drain Plug and 1 x Gasket of your choice:

• Choose an Aluminum Gasket if you are using this drain plug with an aluminum housing such as an aluminum transmission or transfer case, and torque to 27 lb-ft
• Choose a Steel Gasket if you are using this drain plug with a steel or cast iron housing such as a L-series cast iron transmission or a steel axle housing, and torque to 36 lb-ft
