This is Archive Garage’s Outboard Shock Relocation Kit for 1st gen Tacomas. This kit relocates your rear shocks from inside your leaf springs and frame rails to the outside, in a more vertical and upright position, increasing stability and suspension travel.
With this kit, you’ll be able to fit up to 12″ shocks, 2.0″ or 2.5″ outer diameter (Note: many 1G Taco owners limit bump travel, which might be needed in order to fit 2.5″ x 12″ shocks).
If your shock of choice has a reservoir, then it must be a remote hose style as piggyback resi will not fit.
Recommended shock: Fox 2.0×12.1″ Performance Series (18.35″ collapsed) custom valved by AccuTune Off Road (info)
Note: Requires wheel spacers and we recommend negative offset wheels, such as 3.5″ BS wheels with 1.25″ spacers
Kit Includes:
- (2) Towers made from 1/4″ steel, laser cut and CNC formed, mig welded
- (2) axle tabs made from 1/4″ steel, have LH&RH tabs for necked down stock axle tube
- (4) grade 8 shock bolts with lock nuts
- Printed instructions
