Heavy Duty Electric Locker Guard for 2016-2023 Tacoma (Factory 8.75″ E-Locker)

Toyota gives the 2016–2023 Tacoma a factory electric locker… but the protection they include is barely more than a thin dust shield. The OEM stamped cover is only 1.3mm thick (just 0.05″), leaves major openings around sensors and wiring, and provides zero protection from rocks and debris coming upward from below.

One bad hit can blow through the OE cover, shear the plugs, rip out wiring, or break the lock-indicator sensor — which not only deactivates the rear locker but also requires removing the entire third member to replace these parts.

So we built the protection Toyota should have.

Our USA-made locker guard is laser-cut from 3/16″ plate steel and formed through eight separate bends to create a full-coverage, multi-sided armor shell. It’s nearly 4x thicker and 380% more massive than the factory part, with added lower-face protection that blocks the upward strikes the OEM plate leaves completely exposed.

This is the protection your actuator, sensor, and wiring loom deserve. Whether you’re rock crawling, hauling, or simply avoiding a trip-ending failure on an otherwise easy trail.

Remove the factory cover and its two bolts.
Install the HD guard using the included longer JIS hardware.
Torque mounting bolts to 96 lb-in (8 lb-ft).
