This is our new MASSIVE Heavy Duty Bearing Cover Plate for L45, L50, and L52 transmissions. Precision CNC machined from high quality high tensile strength USA solid billet steel, it is far stronger than the factory plate. As the factory plate wears out it fails to properly position the main shaft, resulting in very poor shifting performance and increased thrust wear throughout the entire transmission. Our Heavy Duty cover plate is incredibly rigid and is able to hold the main shaft in place, even with very high horsepower engines.
In addition to the very strong high tensile strength billet USA steel, we have increased the thickness of the plate for the absolute maximum performance:
- 4% thicker at input bearing support
- 19% thicker bolt pattern flange
- 23% thicker between bearing input and counter supports
- 35% thicker at counter bearing support
This plate has been included free of charge on all L52-HD transmission rebuilds, now it’s available for individual sale!
Fits L45, L50, and L52 transmissions. Includes a set of four Grade-8 flange head JIS bolts which are much stronger (tensile and sheer) than the stock Toyota cover plate bolts.
