With the increased popularity of our Tacoma T-360 TacoBox, we have had a few customers report their chain drive transfer case “popping” or falling out of gear. Much like the need of our Heavy Duty Spring for a gear drive transfer case, this spring applies more pressure on the shift rod holding it in position without the fear of accidental disengagement.
Therefore, If your chain drive transfer case is popping out of gear on the trail, then this heavy duty spring will reduce or try to eliminate this pesky problem.
Easy to install from the outside without disassembly. Simply remove the detent plug and install this spring in the center of the factory spring. Use two springs for the VF1A Chain Drive transfer case.
