| 2RZ/3RZ-FE Conversion Bellhousing
Starting in July of 2004, we did our first 3RZ Engine Swap into a 1981 Shortbed Hilux
pickup. Since then we have done four 3RZ Engine conversions into Hilux trucks
including one into Marlin's 1980 Crawler Truck:

that the 3RZ-FE develops as much torque as the R150F-equipped 3.0 liter 3VZ-E
Hilux, Marlin felt it only natural to run a R-series transmission behind a "RZ"
Engine.
The World's First RZ Conversion Bellhousing
Marlin Crawler, Inc. is proud to offer the world's first production "RZ" to
R-series transmission conversion bellhousing. This bellhousing mounts to any
2RZ/3RZ engine block and to any R-series transmission. Our kits are designed
specifically for the 1986-87 R151F 5spd, the 1988-95 R150F 5spd,
and the 1995-2005 R150F 5spd transmission,
however the bellhousing should also fit other R-series transmissions
such as a Supra R154 2WD 5spd.

Pictured above is Marlin's R151F 5.15:1 Transmission with his 23-spline Triple
Transfer case setup amounting in a 1,372:1 First Gear Crawl Ratio. This is the very
first bellhousing produced. What is significiant about using a R-series
transmission is that it uses a large diameter 23-spline output coupling, unlike the stock W59 5spd
Tacoma/4Runner 2RZ/3RZ that uses a 26-spline output coupling. When combining our
gear and chain drive adapter kits, newly achieved combinations behind a 2RZ or 3RZ
include:
1986-87 R151F "Turbo" 5spd
- RF1A 23-spline Gear Drive T/case, Right Hand Front Output
- VF1A 23-spline Gear Drive T/case, Right Hand Front Output
- VF1A 23-spline Gear Drive T/case, Left Hand Front Output
1988-95 R150F 5spd
- RF1A 23-spline Gear Drive T/case, Right Hand Front Output
- VF1A 23-spline Chain Drive T/case, Right Hand Front Output
- VF1A 23-spline Gear Drive T/case, Left Hand Front Output
1995-2005 R150F 5spd
- RF1A 23-spline Gear Drive T/case, Right Hand Front Output
- VF1A 23-spline Chain Drive T/case, Right Hand Front Output
- VF1A 23-spline Gear Drive T/case, Left Hand Front Output
As you can see from the above list, the possibilities are quite vast.

What is included in the kit?
Marlin designed this bellhousing to accomadate all factory Toyota
parts such as the stock dust shield, stock clutch fork and pivot bolt, stock
release bearing and retainer clips, stock slave cylinder, and stock rubber boots.
However, since most wrecking yards in our experience leave out many parts, we include
all of the parts you'll need except for the tranny!
Each kit includes the following:
- RZ-block - to - R-series transmission Bellhousing
- 9 mounting bolts to attach bellhousing to your R-series transmission
- Lower Dust Shield & 4 mounting bolts
- 1995-2005 R150F: Additional spacers are included to accomadate the
longer input shaft.
- All parts including Bellhousing made in the USA
- Features Air Vents for Air Cooled performance
