Solid Axle Conversion
In 1986 Toyota switched from it's solid front axle to an IFS front
suspension system. This was done because market research indicated people
wanted a more car-like ride and were using their 4WD vehicles less and less
off road. With the emerging sport of Off Road Rock Crawling, it's
now common to take a newer style truck with all it's creature
comforts and install the indespensable 1979-85 Solid Front
Axle.

Please
note, Bump Stops are included and must be used! Kit does not
include front axle, gears, drive shaft or locker.
Our SAS kits now
include Bumpstop extensions and motor mount plates. Our bumpstop
extensions make it easy to install your bumpstops after swapping
in a solid axle Kit. These extensions weld to the under side of
the frame. Our Motor Mount Plates are used to cover the opening
on the back side of the mount. Simple, weld on design. Give your
solid axle swap project a finished look. You won't find these
helpful goodies in other SAS kits!

1979 - 1995 Rear Lift KitOur
Rear Leaf Spring Suspension Kit is designed for a 1979-1995 Toyota
Pickup/4Runner. You will get a smooth, quality ride with the serious wheel
travel you need for rock crawling. For 4Runners we recommend 1” more
lift in a rear spring or rear shackle than the front, due to the inherent
sag with 4Runners. This kit is designed as a match for our solid axle swap
kit shown above. Kit provides 4", 5", or 6" of overall lift. Please note: Bump stops MUST be used with each leaf spring to prevent spring dearch and ensure proper spring operation.
