As you find and upgrade weak-links on your truck, you'll eventually conclude that Toyota axle housings are prone to bending, especially when they are launched into flight or are used on custom 3- or 4-link suspension setups. Reinforcing the axle with a gusset between the differential and the driver's side knuckle can seriously increase the strength and rigidity of the axle housing. Our gussets are designed for 1979-85 Toyota live-axle housings and are available without speed holes.
